Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Quang Dung graduated from Hanoi Medical University in 1997, started working at the Vietnam National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) in 1998. From 2003 to 2006, he was the PhD student in public health, majoring in nutrition at the University of Greifswald, Federal Republic of Germany. Returning to the country, he continued to work at the National Institute of Nutrition. In 2010, he was appointed as the deputy head of the Department of Biochemistry and Nutritional Metabolism-NIN. His research areas focus on addressing community nutrition, micronutrient deficiencies, physical activity, and human body structure, nutrition support for patients with lung diseases and critical illness. Since 2016, he has been a full-time lecturer, then in 2017 was appointed as the deputy head of the Department of Nutrition and Food Safety, School of Preventive medicine and Public health, Hanoi Medical University. During 2018-2021, he was the head of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, Dong Da General Hospital. Since 2021, he has been the head of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, National Lung Hospital. He has participated in writing a number of textbooks for medical doctors, bachelor of nutrition. He is the principal investigator and participates in many projects at grassroots, ministerial and national levels, being the author and co-author of more than 80 domestic and international scientific articles.
